Dirt in the Pool!!

I am sure this is in part due to how it was prepped at the end of the season last year and from the hard winter we had with so much snow and such cold temperatures.  We have also had a bunch of really bad storms and lots of rain, which I am sure hasn’t helped.  Needless to say, because it has set so long, it is going to take a lot of hard work to clean it up and get it ready.
This morning I was thinking about the pool, the kids, and how disappointed they will be if it isn’t clean.  It sure got me thinking about our hearts and how clean or unclean they are.  How all the storms of life have a tendency to cause dirt and/or damage to them, and if left unattended, it will grow and get dirtier and dirtier.  Just like that little speck of dust you see on a table and don’t think much about, but if it isn’t dealt with quickly, in a very short time it will grow and the whole table will be covered.  Not to mention the fact that we have an enemy who came to steal, kill, and destroy, and he will pick up and feast on any dirt we have left.
The beauty though is, we have a Savior who is eager to help us clean it up.  It doesn’t matter if it is something as tiny as that speck of dust or something huge and consuming, He wants to help us clean it.  I know sometimes I tend to let the little things go, thinking it isn’t a big deal, but I want all my specks swept away.
As when cleaning anything, it is so much easier and more enJOYable with a friend and HE is THE best friend!!
The LORD does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart."1 Samuel 16:7
Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.  Psalm 51:10
Thank you Jesus for helping me keep my heart clean, for always showing me the specks I need to deal with and for helping me to always be willing to deal with them.
Praying you are all having a fabulous day!!
Counting it all Joy!!

Amen Angel....HE is the ultimate cleanser isn't HE! Sometimes he uses an abrasive way to cleanse while others it is soft and gentle! HE knows just when and how to help us best!

I was thinking today while at physical therapy that we needed to get together and lay out and read while the kids or maybe grandbabies play. If we have grandbabies there won't be much reading or laying out LOL but wouldn't that be fun! Hope they get that pool clean soon!!!

So true girl. This is why I love your blog. Such real practical examples of our lives with Christ. It is true...I love to clean my house while talking on the phone with a friend. He is our best friend and the only way to clean up our heart and life than while talking with HIM.
Beautiful post.
