Happy Memorial Day Weekend!!!

We are heading to Branson for a quick weekend getaway with the kids, we are even taking Ella and boy is she ever excited!!  Hopefully, I will come back with lots of great pictures taken from my new camera!!
Praying and believing you all will have a safe and joy-filled holiday weekend.
Also wanted to mention to anyone who read my post from yesterday, my husband was asking about it today and got me wondering.  He thought the first paragraph sounded kind of abrupt for me with no lead in.  I thought this weird, so I looked at it again only to realize somehow the first paragraph didn't post, which isn't a huge deal, just weird for me.  So I will post it below if anyone wants to read it.

We have a neighborhood pool behind our house that we enjoy every summer.  It has always been so wonderful, Memorial Day Weekend comes and the top has been removed from the pool, a little work has been done, and it is sparkling clean and oh so inviting.  This year, however, the top came off and the pool is disgusting.  It is green and filthy and has been for a while now.  I’m not too sure it will be opening on time, which will be so disappointing!!

Dirt in the Pool!!

I am sure this is in part due to how it was prepped at the end of the season last year and from the hard winter we had with so much snow and such cold temperatures.  We have also had a bunch of really bad storms and lots of rain, which I am sure hasn’t helped.  Needless to say, because it has set so long, it is going to take a lot of hard work to clean it up and get it ready.
This morning I was thinking about the pool, the kids, and how disappointed they will be if it isn’t clean.  It sure got me thinking about our hearts and how clean or unclean they are.  How all the storms of life have a tendency to cause dirt and/or damage to them, and if left unattended, it will grow and get dirtier and dirtier.  Just like that little speck of dust you see on a table and don’t think much about, but if it isn’t dealt with quickly, in a very short time it will grow and the whole table will be covered.  Not to mention the fact that we have an enemy who came to steal, kill, and destroy, and he will pick up and feast on any dirt we have left.
The beauty though is, we have a Savior who is eager to help us clean it up.  It doesn’t matter if it is something as tiny as that speck of dust or something huge and consuming, He wants to help us clean it.  I know sometimes I tend to let the little things go, thinking it isn’t a big deal, but I want all my specks swept away.
As when cleaning anything, it is so much easier and more enJOYable with a friend and HE is THE best friend!!
The LORD does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart."1 Samuel 16:7
Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.  Psalm 51:10
Thank you Jesus for helping me keep my heart clean, for always showing me the specks I need to deal with and for helping me to always be willing to deal with them.
Praying you are all having a fabulous day!!

Why I “Count it all Joy” Wednesday

I am filled with JOY because it is almost Friday, the first day of a three day weekend that I will be spending with my wonderful husband and kids!!
I am filled with JOY because we got Shane’s money situation figured out quickly.
I am filled with JOY because I got a new camera and the pictures are wonderful.
I am filled with JOY because the pool will be opening this weekend!!  My favorite time of year, mom gets to lounge, read, and laugh at the kids, kids get to have a blast in the pool!!  It’s a great time!!
I am filled with JOY because I am a little more than 2 weeks into the 30-Day Shred, I’m doing level 3, it’s killing me, but I love it!!  I feel like I am starting to be able to tell too!!  Yippee!!
I am filled with JOY because I took the twins for their first visit with the allergy doctor and I love her.  She has a great take charge personality and is jumping right on a plan for them.
I am filled with JOY because even though their allergies and asthma are considered pre-existing on our insurance and they say they won’t cover any of this, my God is way bigger than any insurance company and He has a plan for my boys.
I am filled with JOY because I have a wonderfully spontaneous husband who just came home and asked me if I wanted to go to Branson for the weekend.  Ozark Mountains - Here we come!!
I am filled with JOY because if you look hard enough you can find JOY in every situation!!
I am filled with JOY because He has turned my mourning into JOYful dancing.  He has taken away my clothes of mourning and clothed me with JOY!!  Psalm 30:11
Why are you filled with JOY this week?

Who is Pan?

I absolutely love conversations with small kids.  You never know what they are going to say.  Sometimes they tell stories on their parents that you know the parents wouldn’t be proud of.  Sometimes they tell stories on themselves that should get them in trouble but usually doesn’t because you are too busy laughing.  Sometimes it is just their perspective that fascinates me.
Yesterday, I was having one of those conversations with Ella, my 3 year-old granddaughter.  We have been trying a new church and being that Dan is a Children’s Pastor and we have been doing that ministry for many years, it is always at the very top of the list of things to check out.  So in the course of this discussion, I asked her if she liked her class.  She very enthusiastically said she did, so I asked her what she learned.
Our conversation:
She said, “Oh, just a story about Jesus.”
I asked, “Just Jesus, or was there someone else in the story?”
She said, “Yes, it was Jesus and Pan.”
Since I didn’t think I was familiar with that story, I responded, “Jesus and Pan, are you sure, Pan?”
She, very convincingly, stated, “Yes, Jesus and Pan!  You know, Nanny, the little girl was really sick and she died and Jesus and Pan helped her to not be dead anymore.”
I laughed and said, “Did you mean Jesus and Peter?”
She laughed too and said, “Yes, Peter, sorry, sometimes I get those two twisted!!”
I thought that was too funny to not share!!
It’s no wonder, Jesus LOVES the little children!!
What have your kids told you lately?

Shane

What a beautiful weekend we had!!  This week is supposed to be sunny and already in the 90’s here.  Summer is showing up in a big way now!!  I just love the lazy days of Summer!!
Shane left Friday for the first of three training sessions he will have to attend before deploying to Afghanistan in early 2011.  It’s a hard process to start.  Very joyful because I know he will be back in June this time, but hard because I know the end result is a year long deployment.
Anyway, we got a call this morning from his bank and there are fraud charges on his debit card.  Someone in Virginia is using it like crazy.  His account is now overdrawn and they have started denying charges, which is good.  The worst part though is, they have cancelled his debit card which is his only way to get money or buy anything he needs, including food.  He did take a little cash, but not much.  The bank says it will take 7 to 10 days to get another card which has to be mailed to me and then I would have to overnight it to him, this whole process will take way too long.  Needless to say, we are trying to figure out the best way to get him one of our credit cards or our daughter, who works at a bank, is looking in to loading a visa and sending that to him.
All this to say, please pray for Shane to have peace and to continue to look to Jesus, and for a quick solution to this situation.  When our guys are training to deploy, they have enough to deal with without having something like this distract them.  I know Jesus has His hand on Shane and his team, I am just praying and believing they will feel His hand on their lives like they never have before.
The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Deuteronomy 31:8
Thank you all for being my bloggy friends, for praying for me and my family, and for always encouraging me.  You all are AWESOME!!

Books and Presents!!

I went to buy a new devotional last night, and when I got there, as usual, there were so many good ones, that I ended up not buying the one I went for and instead bought two others.
While we were there, the store manager walked up to my son and said, “If you find anything you want, I will make you a deal on it.”  I thought that pretty strange since I was at Mardel, it’s not a store with flexible pricing.  Eventually, he came up to Dan and I and told us all the books on the bargain rack with purple stickers were $5 but in the last hour the store was open he was lowering the price to $2.50.  Then he said all the tan sticker books were $2.50 and he would lower them to $1.  I was so excited, I LOVE BOOKS and there were so many to pick from!!  There were a couple I had wanted but wouldn’t allow myself to spend the money on since I always have a stack of books to read and review.  I bought Beth Moore books, I bought Sheila Walsh books..., Dan bought books, Drew picked a couple, and there was even one for the twins.  I bought a few for others, as well.  In all, we bought 22 books for like $40.  How awesome is that!!!
Anyway, back to the devotional book, which is what this post is supposed to be about!!  I had pretty much decided on one when another one really caught my eye.  I flipped through it and quickly landed on a page about mid way through and I began to read it just to see how it was written.  This day was titled “A Time for Everything”, I loved what it said, it was really just what I needed right then.  As you have probably figured out, I bought that one too.  It isn’t dated, so you can start and stop it anywhere, it does have a few days that would coincide with holidays, but they could also be appropriate for any day.  This morning during my quiet time, I picked it up and trying to decide if I was going to start at the beginning or on the, so called, “right day”, I counted out where I would be if I had started it January 1st.  I couldn’t believe it, it landed me right on the page I had read last night at the store!!  God is Good!!
I used to carry so much junk around, but years ago I gave it all to God and for the most part, I leave it there, but occasionally it will get picked up again.  I have battled it more too, since I lost my mom.
The day that God OBVIOUSLY wanted me to read said -
Regrets from our past and worry about our future can cause us to miss the joy of the present season. - Well, you all know how much I LOVE JOY and I am sure NOT going to miss it!!

It goes on the talk about an old comic strip that says, “Yesterday’s the past, tomorrow’s the future, but today is a GIFT.  That’s why it’s called the PRESENT.”  I LOVE THIS!!

Things happen in our lives for a purpose, give it all to Him and let Him do the work.  We just need to be patient and let Him have the time to accomplish His purpose.
He has made everything beautiful in its time.  Ecclesiastes 3:11

Believing you will all have a fabulous Friday!!

Storms

Wow, what a night!!!  Lindsey and Andy had us over for dinner to celebrate his new job. Which is a wonderful thing!!  Just about the time we sat down to dinner, the tornado sirens started going off.  They are about a block or so from their house, so needless to say, it was loud and somewhat daunting.  We turned on the television and tried to get our dinner eaten.  Real quickly though, the kids began getting a little antsy, so I sat down in the floor with them and we held hands and prayed.  That always settles them down.  Thank you Jesus!!
After a while, they gave us the all clear, so we decided to go home, which is only a mile away. Wouldn’t you know it, just about the time we got half-way to the car it started pouring again. We left and I think the lightning went with us. The flashes were so huge and seemingly very close. A construction sign blew over into the street right in front of us, which I will admit, made us all jump. We made it home a little rattled but safe, and right as we entered our house, a transformer blew and we lost power. So there we were, soaking wet, standing in our entry way not being able to see anything.
I made it to the towels and we used our iphones as light to gather up flashlights. By this point the worst of the storm had passed us and other than some thunder, lightning, and rain, we were out of harms way. We sat in the living room with a weather station playing softly on one iphone and praise and worship playing on another.
The Lord always shows up and lets us know, He is still in control. When I turned on my phone to play some p&w music, I just pick the first song on the list and didn’t even pay any attention to the title. As it began to play, I knew what song it was and just kind of laughed, then I started it over and told the boys to pay attention to the words.
This is how it begins-
When the storm is raging all around me
You are the peace that calms my troubled sea
Isn’t that AWESOME!!
You know things like this happen all the time, we just have to stop and smile and thank Him as He reminds us that HE IS still in control, He is taking care of us.
I love it when HE so lovingly shows Himself to my kids!!
God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging. The LORD Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. Psalm 46:1-3,7
Believing you all have a wonderful Thursday!!

Why I “Count it all Joy” Wednesday

I am filled with JOY because the word says to be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ.  1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
I am filled with JOY because my son-in-law found a new job with good pay and not too far from home.  Praise the Lord!!
I am filled with JOY because it might be cloudy and stormy today, but yesterday the sun was shining and it was beautiful out.
I am filled with JOY because I moved to Level 2 on the 30-Day Shred and I am not dead.  I love my Shred Sisters!!
I am filled with JOY because I serve a mighty God
I am filled with JOY because even though my son, Shane, is leaving Friday for 2 weeks of military training to get ready for his deployment to Afghanistan, in early 2011, for now he will be stateside and safe!!
I am filled with JOY because the Lord has done great things for us...Psalm 126:3
I am filled with JOY because I ran into the doctor who delivered my babies the other day.  I’ve known her for 26 years and love her dearly.  She is a tiny little lady from India.  She retired several years ago due to an accident which caused her to lose an eye.  When I asked her how she was, she boldly told me she quit the temple and all the idol worship and she spends all her time with the Lord and teaching scripture to her grandkids!!  Hallelujah!!
I am filled with JOY because my sweet husband works close enough to home that I usually get to see him at lunch time.  This came in real handy today.  One of the twins, being funny while playing with Ella, tied a dog-on-a-string around his waist (it wasn’t a small dog either). Unfortunately, when he was ready to be done, the knot had tightened and the more he tried to get it undone, the tighter it got.  He tried sliding it down over his hips, he tried sliding it up over his head, but all he got was a tighter knot.  Lucky for him, we were going to see Dad for lunch and with the help of some small pliers, he was able to remove the dog from his waist!!

I am filled with JOY because a happy heart makes the face cheerful, but heartache crushes the spirit.  Proverbs 15:13.  I’m so glad because I love to laugh and smile!!
I am praying you are all having a week filled with the JOYS of the Lord!!

Did I Ever Win BIG!!

A couple of weeks ago, I won a dvd from my friend, Beth at an instrument 4 His glory   I was so excited to win, but had no idea what this dvd would mean to me.  It is entitled How Great is Our God, and if you haven’t seen it, OH MY, YOU NEED TO.  Initially, I watched it by myself, I laughed, and I also sat here with tears just falling off my face.  Not that I didn’t already know how great He is, but this really opened my eyes to Him in a way they had never been opened before.
Later, I told Dan and the three boys who were home that I wanted them to watch it with me.  They were fine with that, maybe a little shocked that I was going to watch it again the same day, but ready to watch it if that’s what I wanted.  They too, sat glued to the television.  They were amazed, and I was crying again.  When it ended, I didn’t think they would ever quit talking about it.  They were so fired up.  One of the twins asked if we could buy a bunch of these dvd’s and give them to anyone we know or ever meet who isn’t a believer.  The other twin sounded like an evangelist.  He was so excited and so animated talking about it and the next day said, “After watching that dvd last night, I think I want to be a pastor when I grow up.”  I don’t know if that is God’s plan for him, but I do know that this dvd had a huge impact on my family.
I don’t want to give away the message of the dvd because I really want you all to watch it, but I do want to say, I don’t think there is any way we can even fathom HOW GREAT HE IS.  It seems so crazy to me that I have been serving Him all these years, I have seen miracles, healings, I seen Him show up in big ways and in small ways, but I definitely have a much larger view of Him.
Now I know that any whining, complaining, or doubt about whether or not I can handle anything this life throws at me, has to go out the window permanently, never to be picked up again.  He holds ME in the palm of His great hand because He wants to.  He breathed everything into existence and He picked ME to love!!
Furthermore, because we are united with Christ, we have received an inheritance from God, for He chose us in advance, and He makes everything work out according to His plan. Ephesians 1:11

Thank you again, Beth!!!

Weekend Smiles

What a wonderful anniversary weekend!  We went to dinner Friday Night at a really nice restaurant, Michael Fusco’s Riverside Grill.  I love it, but it is way too expensive to enjoy very often, so we save it for special occasions.  We ate way too much and I will need to Shred twice a day to work it off.

We did decide to buy a new camera, so with any luck better pictures from me coming soon!!

Appetizer - Gingered Beef Tips with Sobe Noodles

My dinner - Grilled Salmon with Champagne Sauce and Wild Rice

Dan’s dinner - Stuffed Veal Chop with Linguini in a Tomato Mushroom Sauce

Dessert - we shared - Chocolate Truffle Cake with Vanilla Bean Ice Cream
and Strawberries and Cream.  I had my fork ready!!!
It’s always amazing to me that I have lived here all my life and never cease to find places that are somewhat close but I have never seen or heard of before.  There is a place like that which we recently heard about on Route 66, about an hour or so from here.  We have been wanting to visit and haven’t had the time to get there.  So we decided to ditch our plans of spending the Saturday alone and get the kids and take a small road trip.  They were surprised, they thought they would be spending the day fending for themselves.  We didn’t tell them where we were going, just that we wanted them to be with us.  So glad we did, we had so much fun.  It’s a place called Pop’s.  It’s just a convenient store/restaurant, but oh so cool!!  They have over 500 flavors of pop, bottled the old fashioned way.  Some of the flavors, like Dr. Pepper and Pepsi, are even the original recipe.
The boys sitting in front of Pop's.  As you can see, the whole inside of the store is lined with bottles of pop.

In front of the building there is a humongous pop bottle, at night they have it lit up!!

By the time we got seated at the restaurant and ordered, this is what Ella looked like, she just couldn’t take one more minute!!

Just down the highway a ways, was The Round Barn.  We had never seen it before either.  You have to pull off the highway, they have a very small paved area, to take pictures.  The funny thing was, there was a wedding going on.  I couldn’t believe it.  I would have never thought to get married in “The Round Barn”.

That’s part of the wedding party in front!!

This morning when Ella, who is 3, got here, I was looking at the pictures, and she said, “I wish I got married in the Big Round Farm!!”  She cracks me up!!
Needless to say, we had a fabulous weekend even though we axed some of our anniversary plans.  We got the best of both worlds, Friday Night just me and my wonderful hubby, then Saturday and Sunday, Dan AND my kiddos just hanging out and enjoying each other!  Such JOY!!
Believing you all had fabulous a weekend filled with the things that make you smile!!

20 Years and Counting

Today I celebrate 20 years with the man of my dreams!!
I woke up this morning to flowers in a beautiful China vase and a sweet little note telling me he loves me and asking me if I was ready to start the next 20 years.
I thank the Lord everyday for hand picking him for me.
I look at our lives together all these years and am so thankful that He blessed me with -
Someone who would take his place as the spiritual leader of our family.
Someone who would love Jesus more than he loves me.
Someone who would help me deal with and love me through pain and hurts from my past.
Someone who would make me laugh on a daily basis.
Someone who would love me and hold my hand as we walk through the good times and the bad.
Someone who would love our kids and by example teach them to be people of integrity.
Someone who would devote his life to providing for us so I could be a stay at home mom.
Someone who would live his life walking beside me every step of the way.
Someone who would be the best dad.
Someone who would be the best Papo.
Someone who would be MY best friend!!

Thank you Jesus for knowing what I need, even when I don’t!!  Thank you for Dan!!
Praying that you all are as filled with Joy as I am and that you all are walking out this life with the person of your dreams!!

THE Letter of Recommendation

As most of you know, my son-in-law will be losing his job in September.  He has been applying, sending out resumes, and has had a few interviews this week, Praise the Lord!!  We are all believing for him to be diligent in seeking the Lord for what He wants in this situation.  Anyway, while reading this morning, for some reason I was thinking about  a Letter Of Recommendation.  He has worked for the same company for 8 years and I don’t know if they do those letters or not, but it sure got me thinking...
If we had a Letter of Recommendation from the only One who matters, what would it say?  Would we want anyone to see it?  Would we be proud of all it said or would there be parts we wouldn’t want anyone to see?  I know I try hard to live the life Christ wants me to live, but I also know sometimes I fail miserably.  Do I do everything with excellence?  Do I try my hardest, do I do the best I can?  Does it matter if I am doing something as menial as cleaning the toilet or as huge as teaching my kids to love Jesus, shouldn’t I do it all to the best of my ability?
So I remind myself, or He reminds me, of Proverbs 31, our perfect example of what we are to do as moms and wives and how we are to do it, with EXCELLENCE!!  All of it!!  Not just the part we enjoy, or the part we feel we are good at, even the hard parts, even the parts that take us completely out of our comfort zone.  Would my letter of recommendation look anything like that?  I know we all have strengths and weaknesses, I know there are parts of my letter that would look a lot like that woman, but I am also just as sure there are parts that would be lacking.
Ecclesiastes 9:10 say, “Whatever your hand finds to do, do it will all your might...”

1 Corinthians 10:31 says, “Whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all to the glory of God.”
In those verses, the words “whatever your hand finds to do” and “whatever you do” both point to the importance of doing our very best in everything we do!!
Thank you Jesus for being so gentle with me, for showing me areas in my life that are lacking and helping me work on them.  Thank you for loving me unconditionally, lacks and all.  Help me keep Your ways and Your will first.  Help me to get me out of the way so I can always see You more clearly.

Why I “Count it all Joy” Wednesday

I am filled with JOY because I finished Day 3 of the 30-Day Shred this morning and I am still breathing, a little harder than normal, but that’s okay!!
I am filled with JOY because even though I have a growing stack of books to review, I’m getting through them this week and will be able to post several real soon.  To link to my book reviews click here
I am filled with JOY because yesterday when I read my friends blog, she mentioned having fresh green beans and new potatoes in the crock pot and I was so jealous.  Oh my, that so sounded good, I told my son I have to fix that real soon.  Later in the day, I got a sale ad from the grocery store where I shop and, you guessed it...fresh green beans are on sale starting today!!  Isn’t it wonderful to be blessed even in the small things!!  I love it.
I am filled with JOY because my oldest son crashed his new car over the weekend and even though there is a tremendous amount of damage to both cars, no one was hurt. Thank you Jesus!!!
I am filled with JOY because the little girl I tutor is doing great and her parents brought me beautiful flowers as a thank you!!!

I am filled with JOY because my daughter and son-in-law are raising my little princess to love Jesus.  She just walked in here, folded her little hands under her chin, and showed me how she likes to pray.
I am filled with JOY because I made reservations at a hotel in California for our vacation and was a little disappointed at the price tag on lodging.  The JOY part would be yesterday, my husband received an email from the brother of a co-worker who works for a large hotel chain and offered us the friends and family discount, which is less than half of what we were expecting!!  Praise you Jesus!!!
I am filled with JOY because my middle son, Drew, worked hard and finished his first year at ORU with a 4.0!!!  Go Drew, I am so proud of him!!
I am filled with JOY because this weekend is our 20th wedding anniversary and we are going into hiding.  Alone time with my honey doesn’t come easy around here!!  Thank you Jesus for 20 wonderful years with my wonderful husband.
I am filled with JOY because Jesus loves me all the time!!
“But let all who take refuge in you rejoice; let them sing JOYFUL praises forever.  Spread your protection over them, that all who love your name may be filled with JOY.”  Psalm 5:1
Why are you filled with Joy?

Blessings

I think I am being blessed more by the 30 days of blessings challenge than anyone else.    Watching how the boys are thinking has been so cool.  Not that they are doing anything huge, but just watching them look for ways to bless is so fun.
I don’t know how the trash service where you live works, but here, on Thursdays you have to have your “provided” trash can at the curb super early because you never know if the truck will show up at 6:00 in the morning or 9:00 at night.  Our trash guys aren’t real particular about how they leave our trash cans when they are done with them either.  I know I wouldn’t want their job and it would be hard for me to find JOY in it, but they don’t usually even care if they get the right can back to the right house or if it is on the driveway or in the street.  Usually they are left somewhere close to the curb or street and somewhere in the vicinity of your house.  Anyway, last week the boys decided they wanted to put everyone’s can back up by their garage after the truck came.  It was so funny watching them, every time they heard a truck they ran to the front window to see if it was them.  They really wanted the truck to come early, before school was out for their friends, and before parents were home from work.  Eventually they heard the truck and they ran to the front window to watch so they could go out as soon as it left.  At the last glimpse of the back of the truck, they were off.  They did all the houses on our street.  Not a big deal in the grand scheme of things, but the beauty of it was they didn’t want anyone to know it was them.  They weren’t in it for the glory and praise of the neighbors, they only wanted to bless!!  No one has said anything about it, they probably think our trash guys decided to be nice that day, but Adam and Isaac know what they did and so does Jesus!!  Oh the JOY that brought my heart!!
But among you it will be different. Whoever wants to be a leader among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first among you must become your slave. Matthew 20:26-27
On Saturday, we had to go to the mall, we were limited on time, but the boys asked if they could bless while we were there.  They wanted to drop $1 bills from the second floor so that it would just float down and bless someone walking by.  It was so fun to watch.  They didn’t have much money, but they really wanted to do this.  Our mall has an open middle where you can see down to the bottom floor, so Dan and I stood on one side and Drew (our middle son) took the boys to the other side.  Dan and I watched and when someone was coming we gave the nod and they dropped the dollar.  The first floated straight down in front of a little girl, about 7 probably, she caught it in the air and her eyes lit up, she was so excited.  There was one though that really stood out, it floated down in front of a family and it was so cool, when the dad saw it coming, he looked straight up at the sky and said, “Thank you, Lord!!”  The boys were so blessed to hear this.  They were beaming, and so were Dan and I!!
You know blessings come in all shapes and sizes, they aren’t all huge, but they can ALL BE LIFE CHANGING!!  The funny thing is, it is usually your life it changes!!
The greatest among you must be a servant.  Matthew 23:11
Believing you will all find someone to bless!!

One Blessed Lady!!

I realized after I posted last night that I forgot to post any pictures.
My daughter, SIL, and little princess, Ella, came home Saturday from a long week of vacation.  Sounds like they had a really good time, and Ella was so excited to see us.  She made it through the glass doors and took off running for me.  Oh the JOY of being a Nanny!!

We took some pictures yesterday and wouldn’t you know it, they are all goofy.  I think someone is being silly in every picture, but that’s no surprise to me.  Ella was telling us what kind of face to make and boy did she ever make sure we were doing it right.

Drew and Adam made the brownie pizza and boy was it good!!

I started the 30-Day Shred with my Shred Sisters this morning.  I was doing it several months ago but ran out of motivation, so now back at it with a group of my bloggy friends!  We are going to be Shredded in no time!!  Lucky you, I am sparing you... no pictures of that!!

I praise Jesus for the family I have.  I am amazed that He has given me these precious gifts to love and to be loved by.
