Something Beautiful - Loving Kids

Today I am joining my friend Renee for Something Beautiful.  I hope you will find something beautiful in your life and share it with us.

For this weeks Something Beautiful, I want to share a picture with you.  On Friday I had my phone laying on the arm of my sofa and when I went back to get it, this is what it looked like!!  Shane, my 23 year old son had picked it up, played with a silly app, written this, and saved it as my screen saver.

When you have babies and you just love them so much and you try so hard to make the right choices for them.  As they grow up, you continue to love them and to teach them and still you hope and pray you are making the right choices for them, especially when they don’t think the choices or decisions you are making are the best.  When they go through their teenage years and it sometimes seems to them that you are unfair, when all their friends are doing all these fun things and they don’t get to, when all their friends get to watch certain tv shows or movies and they don’t, when they don’t get to date when they think they should.  You just stand firm and pray hard and continue to make the sometimes unpopular choices.
The something beautiful in this is - in the midst of all that, and even after you are past all that, you have this love, so freely given!!
Thank you Shane for loving me!!

I call those little unexpected moments "hugs from God." So sweet.
