What Fun!!

Suits packed, snacks packed, kids loaded, mom and dad on board and we headed out bright and early Saturday morning for our quick trip to Branson.  Everyone was excited to get away and have some FUN.

Lindsey had to sit between these two, look what it does to her!!

Ella, on the other hand was very happy with her spot!!

Pulling into town, you always know you are in Branson when you start seeing swimming pools right beside the road, and there are always people in them.  That is one rule I have, we don't stay anywhere with the pool right on the main strip.  No thank you, I really don't want EVERY tourist in Branson to see me in my suit.

First stop - Cakes n Cream Dessert Parlor - it's a 50's type ice cream shop with food too.  They play the old music from the 50's which seems to make everyone smile.

Ice Cream and Shakes for the kids!!  Ella was lovin' some Chocolate!!  Since some of my Shred Sisters read this blog too, I will not be disclosing what or how much I ate : )

This is the view from our hotel.

I think we were at the hotel all of 5 minutes before this was happening!!

Lindsey had a visitor.  This BEE really liked her.  It kept landing on her, no matter where she moved.  She was so calm, she even took this picture.  I, on the other hand, probably would have gotten stung because I would have been panicking !!

We went down to the river for dinner and to watch the fountain light show!!

It is amazing how high the water shoots up!!

Silver Dollar City!!  I think everyone who has ever been there has a picture in the wooden casket!

It was pretty hot for May in Branson!!  Rides, drinks, rides, drinks!!

We played mini golf, which was hilarious.  At one point, Lindsey hit her ball and it went flying right into Adam's leg, she isn't very good!!
This is Ella very disappointed when her ball went in the last hole and she realized
it wasn't coming back : (

Unfortunately, Ella woke up Monday morning about 2:00 throwing up and it continued every 30 minutes until about 8:30 we took her to ER because she was getting dehydrated.
They said she had a virus.
We loaded up lots of drinks and anti-nausea medicine and headed home.

Other than the last few hours, it was a great trip.  We had so much fun.  I am telling you, we laugh until we hurt.  God has truly blessed me with an amazing family!!

We did, however, miss Shane, who is still at training, but will return soon.  I loved all the Memorial Day thanks to our soldiers, they really don't get the appreciation they deserve and most people don't realize how much they sacrifice.  Holidays are one of the hardest for a mom!!

Here's my HERO!!

Sorry the type is humongous, something is wrong with my blog AGAIN!!

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend too!!

Counting it all Joy!!
Angel

What a wonderful, memory-making trip! I loved the nature scenes, and the kids being kids.

Blessings,
Kathleen

What a fun time! Love the pictures and all the smiles. I know what you mean about missing Shane. Those family fun times aren't quite right when one is missing. We had a fun day yesterday and I thought how much better it would be if Andy was there.

Loved all the pictures! Fun! We will be headed to Branso ourselves at the end of the month.

Sorry about baby girl. My daughter was bad about getting too dehydrated when she was little and sick. Not fun at all. Hope she is better and she didn't pass on the "fun."

Happy Tuesday, friend.

Angel,

Oh my heart goes out to you with a sick one on vacation. Some days you just wish you could pop on back home in a flash!

Thanks again for making this memorial day fabulous with the service your son offers!

I am so sorry that Ella got sick. But so thankful it was just a virus and that she is ok now.
