Who is Pan?

I absolutely love conversations with small kids.  You never know what they are going to say.  Sometimes they tell stories on their parents that you know the parents wouldn’t be proud of.  Sometimes they tell stories on themselves that should get them in trouble but usually doesn’t because you are too busy laughing.  Sometimes it is just their perspective that fascinates me.
Yesterday, I was having one of those conversations with Ella, my 3 year-old granddaughter.  We have been trying a new church and being that Dan is a Children’s Pastor and we have been doing that ministry for many years, it is always at the very top of the list of things to check out.  So in the course of this discussion, I asked her if she liked her class.  She very enthusiastically said she did, so I asked her what she learned.
Our conversation:
She said, “Oh, just a story about Jesus.”
I asked, “Just Jesus, or was there someone else in the story?”
She said, “Yes, it was Jesus and Pan.”
Since I didn’t think I was familiar with that story, I responded, “Jesus and Pan, are you sure, Pan?”
She, very convincingly, stated, “Yes, Jesus and Pan!  You know, Nanny, the little girl was really sick and she died and Jesus and Pan helped her to not be dead anymore.”
I laughed and said, “Did you mean Jesus and Peter?”
She laughed too and said, “Yes, Peter, sorry, sometimes I get those two twisted!!”
I thought that was too funny to not share!!
It’s no wonder, Jesus LOVES the little children!!
What have your kids told you lately?
Counting it all Joy!!

Haha, that's so cute! I wrote down a few cute things my kids said, and I'm glad I did because I couldn't remember them all.

You're right about saying stuff their parents wouldn't want them to. We were invited over to a new neighbor's home and my then-four year old said to her "You need to clean your home!"

I couldn't believe he said that, but she just laughed and told me that she had actually cleaned before we came over.

I did ask him to apologize, of course.

Angel,

Please help me spread the word of a sister in Christ who so desperately needs help with a limited amount of time left.
